We have just returned from our week long holiday in Corfu and have spent our third consecutive year spending as much time at Myrtiotissa as possible. The beach has shrunk to approximately half its previous size due apparently to some bad storms during the winter. Previously it was possible to walk from the southern end to the northern end. But now you have to either wade or swim to get from one end of the beach to the other. However it remains the best beach we have ever been to and is the main reason we will continue to visit Corfu. Everyone is really friendly and don't be put off by the thought of sharing a beach with naturists if that is not normally your thing. No-one will bite your head off if you choose to keep your swimming costume on, but you will be in the minority! Check out the cantina at the southern ned of the beach the two ladies who run it on different days of the week are lovely. The sandwiches and fruit salads are heavenly washed down with Mythos or a freshly squeezed orange juice! Can't wait to go back and do it all over again!
