| Travelled to the Beis Beach hotel Acharavi on 12.9.05. Excellent hotel. Clean rooms and spotless swimming pools. We were all incl. so all meals were incl. + drinks and snacks. Hotel entertainment was provided by the German reps and the Germans were certainly in the majority so not all the programmes of entertainment was easy to follow, but it didnt really deflect from our enjoyment. Hotel was right on the beach and the beach was so tranquil. Beis Beach is at the far end of Acharavi so it made the walk into Roda quite easy just straight along the beach path. Roda was better than Acharavi for shops and entertainment. We will be returning to Corfu 2006 but might stay in Roda or Sidari next time. Anyone going I think you will fall in love with Corfu. We have travlled to 10 countries altogether and Spain especially since the sixties but I think Greece holds that special little bit of magic. The Greek people seem to enjoy their tourist trade and made us more than welcome. Roll on 2006!!

Acharavi not so bad Date : 3- -0 2005

| Acharavi is not at all bad! The beach is sand and shingle and the water is clean and clear, The afternoons can sometimes be choppy with a sea breeze but that's great because it takes the edge off the heat. Acharavi is not a Kavos or Sidari ( though that is only a 15 minute taxi ride away for about £7) but it does have many bars and innumerable tavernas and a night club. There are yet more in RODA only half an hour's walk away. Some of those bars play up-to-the-minute music (loudly) but are sound proofed for the benefit of those of us who have passed it! There are lots of good trips too.
