I first visited Messonghi ten years ago. My sister lived there which is why I went there. The warm welcome of the people is what keeps me coming back. My wife (who worked there) and I spent our honeymoon in Messonghi and we have brought our children there whom all have been received as members of the family. I would like to add that we were lucky to be there in Messonghi when Greece won the European Championship all I can say is what a night that was. Thanks to everyone in the village for making our too short time there so wonderful and holds with that very ancient and civilized Greek tradition of welcoming strangers into your home.

I first became interested in Corfu whilst at school reading Gerald Durrell. My first visit was with "Club 18-30" in Messonghi with Yiannis Loulas. Some 20 years later I took my wife on holiday there and it had not changed a great deal. Through the several stays I have made several friends, which is not hard. There is a regular bus service to Corfu Town. Kavos is not too far away (if you are of that inclination). The resort is very friendly, thigs to do ,or "chill" out. See you in "Victor,s"

I was from the 12th till the 19th of july in the Apollo Palace Messonghi in Corfou. It was desappointing ! The All In formula is very bad : you even can't have water in a bottle before 10 o clock (starting time for the All In Formula). When you are with children (mine is 4), it's unacceptable. The service is a pitty : people are not friendly ! The food is good, but every time the same. It's a "buffet" without decoration... and no fruit ! only some melon or watermelon (twice in a week). Rooms are not soundproof : you can hear the animation evenings till past midnight (thank you for the children!). The Internet corner, the shop in the hotel, the basketball ground DO NOT EXIST even if written in Thomas Cook catalogue ! LIES ! The person who propose to hire you a car is too expensive. 100 meter near the hotel, you find a place to hire cars or moto at a normal price with all the insurance in order (don't listen to those who tell you that Budget is the only one to be in order with insurance !) In the All In formula, you can have, for example, a gin tonic. But NOT the tonic alone ! There is a list for All In ! Sorry but i was used with the contrary... I pay for more and i receive less ! So, a bad experience ! I heard good things about the hotel which is just next to the appolo palace : the messonghi beach. They have a real mini club for children, with at least 15 animators to take care of child, not a kind of house plant who was just unable to take our names or the name of the child, and was unable to organise a single game ! They even say that there is a lifeguard at the swimming pool : LIES ! No one ! This hotel = a mess !

the hotel itself is good,not great.buffet meals quickly become very boring.rooms are o.k.If your party has more than one room with air con' only pay for one as they give you pay for a remote to turn them on and they're all the same.everything in the hotel is overpriced.messonghi and moraitika are fantastic with lots of tavernas and restaurants offering great food and drink at more reasonable prices and the people are far more friendly than the hotel.I would definately go back to moraitika/messonghi villages but not unfortunately to the messonghi beach hotel.
