| Avlaki is a breath of fresh air - a beautiful bay with all you could want, if you are looking for views, crystal clear water, and peace! A very simple area with only a couple of villas, a long stretch of beach, and two tavernas. Taverna Cavo Barbaro was one of the highlights of our holiday and a reason we returned to Avlaki. The family run restaurant offers excellent home made greek dishes and service with genuine smiles and a lovely atmosphere. You can walk as little or as much as you wish around the local area to enjoy the hillside views. 20 minutes walk up the hill are a couple of small supermarkets and further on are the bars etc. To hire a small boat for the day from the beach is recommended, to venture out and visit other nearby bays, tavernas ( in Agni) or drop the anchor in the middle of nowhere and swim! We will go back again and again! Not for those wanting nightlife - but perfect for all wanting to retreat and get away from noise, and your average package holiday. 10/10

| A real un-spoilt gem in the most beautiful part of Corfu. Stunning sheltered beach (albeit very pebbly not sandy) glorious views and two really nice tavernas - Avlaki Taverna - basic traditional family-run and Cavo Barbaro - a bit more sophisticated. Not much choice of accomodation but a few new villas are being built in the area. Highly recommended.
